It’s My Very Own (IMVO), also known as Bags of Love is a faith-based national organization of which the women of Apache Junction SDA Church formed a chapter in 2006. Since 2006 we have given away over 4,000 Bags of Love to displaced children all over Arizona. Each handmade bag contains a handmade quilt, toys, books, stuffed animals, and personal hygiene items according to age and gender from infant to 18.
We know that Bags of Love make a difference in children’s lives according to the occasional letter or card we receive from a foster mother. The following letter came to us in June of 2021. It shows that even though we do not know the children who receive Bags of Love, but God does. He guides the right Bag of Love to the right Child.

It’s My Very Own group,
We are foster parents through Agape Adoption Agency. We recently had a 5 years old boy placed in our care. One of the first things he told us when we picked him up was that he is a “cat person”. (We have both dogs and cats). The second he got to our house, he was all about our cats. He has especially bonded with one of them. He is so gentle and loving with them and it is both a sweet thing to see, but also I know that they are helping him get through a very hard time.
When our social worker showed up today, she brought a special bag just for him! The beautiful quilt and bag were both made with a cat fabric! And the button on the bag is even a cat! He was so excited. He also loved the other things in the bag too! His favorites were the books (he asked me to read all three to him as soon as he took them out of the bag) and the Lego kit. Huge hit!
My husband and I just want to thank you so much for this incredibly kind gesture. It made our foster son’s day!
Thank you!!
